365 Project – 138: Fiery sunset sky (May 18, 2013)

I know I post a lot of sunset photos but, I find them stunning and I’m fortunate enough to have a decent sunset view from our house.  I took this the other night when the sun burst through the clouds with fiery oranges and pinks.  This photo doesn’t really do justice to how magnificent the sunset really was, but, you can at least see how it lit the whole sky on fire.  🙂

365 Project – 248: Sherbet-y, September, sunset sky (September 3, 2012)

Shutter Speed: 1/40, Aperture: F/3.2, ISO: 800 – SUNSET mode

Yes, I post a lot of sunset pics but, these gorgeous skies are hard for me to resist. I also love cropping them a little wider using a 16:9 aspect ratio. I typically shoot in manual mode but, this time I used the SUNSET mode to capture the intense layers of colors. When using manual mode the pics weren’t matching the richness of the real sunset hues. So, straight out of the camera, this is what your Nikon D5000 can give you! 🙂
