365 Project – 177: Spiritually Fit Yoga (June 27, 2013)

My latest project involves launching a new blog and facebook page to share info about myself as a yoga instructor, my yoga schedule, and just anything I love that I relate to yoga.  After my recent teacher training with Baron Baptiste, I was fired up to get my business going so, with the graphic design help of my friend Kristen Johnson, I now have  http://spirituallyfityoga.com and a new facebook page is http://facebook.com/SpirituallyFitYoga.  Please stop by, check it out, and give me a *like* to help me launch this new business venture in Port Angeles, Washington. This is just one of many steps I will take to realize my dream of growing our yoga communityin my hometown.  I absolutely love yoga and am happy I have a dedicated space to share it with everyone!  Here are a handful of pics my hubby took of me in my backyard, using my Nikon D7000 . Enjoy!

Yesterday was the kids marathon where kids of all ages descended upon Hollywood Beach on the Port Angeles waterfront where the kids ran their last mile together after acruing 25 miles over the last few months. Seeing the waterfront swarming with strong, healthy kids was a beautiful, joyous  scene! Kids having  fun exercising?? ♥♥♥♥♥

And, today is the actual marathon day and runners are getting a gorgeous day on the Olympic Peninsula during today’s marathon, half-marathon, 10k and relays along the North Olympic Discovery Trail.  Go runners go!! NODM marathon weekend in Port Angeles is the best!!

365 Project – 96-98: On the Horseshoe Bay, BC ferry (April 8, 2013)

For our annual ski trip to Whistler, B.C. from Port Angeles we took the “leisurely” route via two ferries: Blackball Coho ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, then an hour drive up to Nanaimo to catch the ferry to Horseshoe Bay. For our two families, packed into our SUV with rocket on top, it was way more fun driving less and getting out of the car and relaxing more. Only 2 hours sitting in the car versus 5-6 hours if we drove via Bellingham. The option to eat on the ferry is fun too, whether you do the buffet with big vistas, or hit the cafe’ for a salmon burger (my hubby’s fav), soft-serve ice cream (the girls choice), or a simple steamy latte’ (yup, for ME!) We were fortunate enough to get a gorgeous day to ride the Horseshoe Bay ferry so the views and fresh air from the sun deck were amazing, giving us all a chance to stretch our legs and laugh at the girls trying to wield their long hair in the wind. 🙂 Even before arriving at Whistler, just riding the ferries gave us a fun start to our vacation!!
