365 Project – 207: Why is the Space Needle orange? (July 25, 2012)

This is kind’ve old news, since this paint job was done a few months ago, but, this is MY first time taking a photo of the Space Needle with its new orange coat. I took this pic from atop Seattle’s Great Wheel.

The orange commemorates the Space Needle’s 50th anniversary so it was restored to its original “Galaxy Gold” color. You can read more about the Space Needle turning orange and see more photos here.
