365 Project – 158: My coffee press (June 7, 2012)

Shutter Speed: 1/50, Aperture: F2.8, ISO: 400

A picture is a thousand words, right? So, here’s the story behind this morning’s coffee press pic. I am on day 5 of giving up coffee, which has been going “okay”…until today. I am missing my liquid sunshine this gray morning and I am hosting a meeting where I always serve hot coffee. Imagine grinding and brewing those glistening french roast beans, deeply inhaling that rich coffee aroma like a true caffeine-aholic, and watching that pot fill, drip by drip…and not one luscious drop is for me. Ugh…torture! The last few days I’ve slowly weaned myself off coffee by drinking earl grey tea but, this morning I thought I’d make a pot of Teecino. It LOOKS like coffee but, it’s still not giving me that coffee fix. The teecino package suggests to kick the caffeine habit by brewing 3/4 coffee to 1/4 coffee. Hmmm…I’m a bit afraid to even have a TABLESPOON of that coffee I miss so much. OK…I’m gonna’ love me some teecino this morning. If you’re enjoying a hot cuppa’ Joe, think of me and take an extra sip for me. 🙂
