365 Project – 151: The challenge of taking photos of your kids (May 31, 2012)

Shutter Speed: 1/320, Aperture: F/2.0, ISO: 400 (Nikon D5000 in-camera MONOCHROME setting)

Once again my daughter refused to let me take her photo but, I managed to catch her smiling face while she was upside down.  Since she didn’t want to look straight at me I was trying to just catch the frayed edge of her shorts then she popped her face into my frame and I QUICKLY moved my focus and caught this shot.   If you have been “blessed” with a camera-shy child like mine, here are a few tips that work for me:  1) be stealth (iPhones are great for this), 2) set your camera on the continuous shutter-release mode and hold that sucker down, 3) take LOTS of photos and hope you end up with ONE decent one, 4) get silly and try different angles and 5) as a last resort, use bribery (money works for my daughter.) LOL
