This is another capture from my outing with Nora at Webster’s Woods. This blue tulle laid atop hedges like a soft, poofy cloud. I played with different angles and apertures before I settled on F/2.5 to achieve that dreamy blue/green bokeh yet, still capturing the detail of the tulle. (Click here to view a second photo giving another perspective of the tulle-frosted path.) Straight out of the camera the contrast and blending of the blue and green were both vibrant and soothing. While shooting, I composed shots filling the entire frame with tulle but, framing it with the greenery achieved the ethereal effect I was looking for. So, what is the subject? The blue fabric, its movement, texture and softness, and the breath evoked by the play of colors. 🙂
