365 Project – 10: Early morning winter moon…without a tripod (January 10, 2012)

Shutter Speed: 1/50, Aperture: F/2.5, ISO: 100

Before school drop-off this morning I saw the almost full moon and only had time to snap a few shots without my tripod. To reduce camera shake I turned on my self-timer mode (set to 10 seconds and 5 continuous shots), focused on the moon, recomposed, then pressed down the shutter. I just held it as still as I could, and of the 5 shots, I only got this ONE shot in focus. To be true to my project, this is my straight out of the camera photo. It’s “okay” but, it begged for some post-processing. Stay tuned for that version in the next post. 🙂
