365 Project – 30: A colorful, mossy world (January 30, 2012)
One thing I’ve learned from this 365 photo challenge is that the color of my photos, straight out of my camera, even when using the VIVID setting, are still not as vibrant or saturated as I’d like. So, I feel like I need to find natural pops of color, which can be difficult on gray, winter, overcast days. But, my camera surprised me with this colorful mossy landscape hidden in the cracks of a rocky raised bed wall. When I shot this, I didn’t see beyond the green until I previewed the shots on my computer. A captured a little orange, pink, yellow and green growing out of the nubby grays and blues. I love when my camera surprises me with presents like this!
